Morning Sickness is the Worse!
Yes, it's true. I'm pregnat! It's a girl and I've decided to name her Sister Gunderson. She's due Wednesday at 10:00AM. Sister Phadnis is so excited to have a grandaughter.
Ahhh... Seriously though! I'm dumb training!!!! When the AP's called me on Thursday they told me I had been called and I said are you sure you really prayed? Really hard? haha! :) I've been so nervous the past few days! The morning of our training meeting I was honestly sick to my stomach. I HAD MORNING SICKNESS! haha! but I really thought I was going to spew. Plus I'm the only sister that is training just out of the 12 week program. Whatever! I just felt so intimidated by everything because they kept talking about how everything you'd teach them would help to mold them into the kinds of missionaries they'd be and they told a story about an apostle who said that his trainer trained him to be an apostle. No pressure! hahaha! But it was really good because by the end of it all they told us the missionary's name, gave us a huge picture of them and told us to pray for them. Which I have been doing, but I dunno it just really hit me that this whole thing isn't about me at all. I'm freaking out and being a baby when in reality I've been being so selfish. This is about my trainee not me. The atonement applies to everything and I've felt it's power so strongly in the last few days. It's been a really humbling expirience and I really hope that Sister Gunderson doesn't hate me. :)
Well, aside from that hype, Sister Phadnis is leaving me and guess where she's going??? TO TOPEAKA! And guess who she's going to be Companions with? SISTER BARLOCKER! My good ol' MTC companion! Crazy right? I can't believe it! I am so jealous! So they are going to have so much fun together! I'm really excited for them :)
In other news. AMANDA IS ON DATE!!!! That girl is so solid! She had a really hard week because they took more time away from her daughter. So she only gets like 4 hours a week instead of 2 days a week. So we invited the Elders over to give her a blessing and the spirit was SO strong! We all felt it! I cried a little! And she said that she just felt peace. It was the best and I love her so much! She's really sad to see sister Phadnis leave though. All of our investigators are! She has help them so much thus far and I really hope Sister Gunderson and I will be able to keep the flame going.
Also. All we did basically all week was practice for this fireside that we had Saturday. Seriously. alllll weeeeek. It was about Christ's life and it was thrown together super last minute. I sang His Hands. When I first saw the music I was like wow cheesest song from the 80/90's ever. But actually I love it so it's ok :) We were seriously scrambling around five minutes before the thing started. It was a miracle that we were able to even perform it. But the worst part was that there were about 20 people total that showed up. It was a stake wide event that we had committed so many members to come to and no one from our ward came. It was so embarrassing. Luckily one of our investiagtors Jerry showed up 5 minutes late. :) It was crazy. BUT in spite of all of that, the spirit that we were able to bring was so STRONG! I had tears in my eyes while I was singing. How embarrassing! But it was because the spirit was overwhelming my emotions. It really was great :) Ok I'm rambaling. sorry. Also this computer doesn't have spell check so don't make fun of me.
Well friends and fam I sure do love you :) Pray for me ok? This weekend is going to be long. I know that the Lord will take care of me. But you can still pray for me if you want. And Sister Gunderson :) I'm sure praying for all of you! I hope your week turns out to be a good one!
I'll let you know if we come out alive! ;)
Love,
Sister Herrin
