Promised Land

THIS WEEK WAS AWESOME!!!! :D So fantastic! :) We had Pday in my good ol Manhattan! That's my zone!!!! With my girl Sister Barlocker! And everyone else :) We have fun :) 

And afterwords We went to Roxy's place and got to talk to her for a bit! It was so nice to catch up! But it almost felt like I'd never been gone :) Love that girl! :) 

So I know you're all probably wondering why this week out of all weeks was so great. Well Her name's Diaamah (day ah mah) And she has 4 kids: Daekwon (day quwan), Amerrah (Uh meer uh), Duaente (Due on tay), and Taevonana. We can't remember how to pronounce this last one. I thought it was Tay von na but sister palmer thinks its Tay von eee uh. or something like that. We've asked her her name like 4 times. :) BUT ANYWAYS, Diaamah, she is SO solid. She was a referral from the Spanish Elders, and she was outside crying, praying that the Lord would send someone, and so that's when the elders came :) Anyways she wants to be baptized SO much and she says she feels good everytime we come by. She knows we were sent by God. :) Seriously the Sweetest! So PRAY FOR THEM!!! :)

Also it was Sister Palmer's 9 month mark and we took hilarious pictures :) She loves me :) Anywho, I'm all out of time, but I hope you all have a great fantastic week!!!! :D

Sister Palmer says that all the time :) Cuz I guess there was a bunny that her mom got for her that says that. So happyeasta!!!! 

WOW! I had SUCH a great Easter! (not to boast in myself but in gratitude of my God) 

And I love that it was the same time as Conference! Which was SO GOOD!!!! :) 

So best events of the week:

Friday night we had ward seder passover meal :) It was SO COOL! We all sat on cushions and drank lots of grape juice and ate bitter herbs! It was really symbolic actually :) 

Saturday was Conference and Chandalar (a member from Manhattan) took us out to lunch afterwords! So fun! And the talks were fantastic! I don't know if I've ever received so much revelation in my life! It was funny thought because Sister Forsgren and I were both freaking out about how much they were talking about marriage and family. We're like, "OK WE GET IT WE'LL GET MARRIED AND HAVE BABIES AND SAVE THE WORLD!!!" Man life after the mission will be hard! ;) haha! Just kidding :)

But there was just so much of Conference to take in, I felt spiritually FED :) Afterwords we went home, heated up a freezer lasagna, and had a nice dinner in :) I'd attach a picture here but I forgot the camera cord... oops :)

Sunday was awesome!!! We went to a member's house for the afternoon session and had an Easter dinner afterwords. It was so fun! They asked us what we thought our families were doing for Easter, and I was like, My mom's probably making a fancy dinner. She tell me about it in my email. It was probably the cherry pork thing that they love a lot. :) SPOT ON!!!!!! :) just saying :) hahaha! I'm going to text sister Zumbrennen and tell her :) So I'm glad that you had fancy food on Easter :) Family traditions! :D

But it was so wonderful to have time to truly reflect on my Savior and all he's done for me. I am SO grateful for having him and feeling him in my life. I know without a doubt that he lives and loves each one of us :)

Let My People Go!

Can you guess who's who? :) We got to help in sharing time Sunday and it was about Prophets. So of course we had to dress up :) And most of the Elders didn't bring stuff after we had talked about it. So it's a good thing I came prepared with a plethora of scarves. And the beards helped :) But it's Noah, Moses, Nephi, Joseph Smith and President Monson. We didn't know how to dress up president Monson so Elder Arend just announced the missionary age change :) it was SO fun! The kids LOVED it :)

Well guess what folks? Transfers are this Wednesday, and Sister Palmer and I are STAYING TOGETHER!!!!! We thought for sure we'd be split up just because this will be her 4th transfer, and I'm dying, so either the area will get flushed after I leave, or Sister Palmer will stay for 5 transfers. Which would way super suck. 5 is always too long. But hey, we are MORE than happy to stay together!!! :) Plus Sister Barlocker's in my District! And Sister Forsgren's going to be my STL! So life is so good :) YAY FOR ME!!! :) 7 more weeks baby!!!!

We had SUCH a good week this week! Wednesday we had sister's conference with all the sisters on the east side of Kansas. So I got to see Sister Moffat Sister Forsgren Sister Clerico Sister Gunderson Sister Barlocker and many other good friends! It was so fun! I wish I had pictures for you but I forgot my camera.. whoops. But we did this fun Tahitian dance where we had to shake it and move our hips around.. Yes I was nominated to be in the top five. it was sooo fun! There was more to shake then I'm used to, but we all had a good laugh :) HA! We did this cool training about light and darkness, and the paths that we've walked on our missions. It was super cool and revelatory. I have been so grateful for my mission and all that it's done for me. I love Kansas so much! and I love being a sister missionary! I love my savior, and I love serving my brothers and sisters. It's really the best thing in the world :)

God is SO Good!

HOLA!!!! Hi hi hi!!! This week was AWESOME!!!!!! I'm telling you, SO many miracles!!!  The work here is going really well! I had a GREAT birthday! Thank you all so much!!! 

Me and my Beautiful Comp! Seriously! I love this girl! Her mom sent a birthday banner and some balloons in a package and surprised me in the morning! So the nicest!!! And We had a meeting in Salina where Prez Bell and a bunch of missionaries sang happy birthday to me. I felt so awkward. Normally I'm not bothered by a bunch of people looking at me because I sing and what not, but just standing there with other people singing at me was so weird. I forget every time how much I don't like that. So weird. haha! But it was really nice of them!

After the meeting we went to Jenaya's and had a TON of Jelly beans. Too many jelly beans. But it was so fun! She is the sweetest! and got me a couple of scarfs! I know! So nice! I'm telling you I am so spoiled! We topped off the day with a dinner on post where we had fried fish and really yummy beans. I liked the beans. Don't know if I could've served on the coast. Just saying. :)

But that wasn't even the best part of our week! We had two killer days of work and really I felt so lost in the work! I finally stopped caring about numbers. I swear They stress me out like none other. But WHO CARES??? And that's the day when we had the best numbers! You just don't focus on it and work hard and love the people. I know it's way harder than that but we all get it eventually :)

Saturday night we had a bon fire with the district! It was SO fun!!!! Our district leader Elder Arend is going home on the 1st of April and so he burned one of his suits. It's a missionary thing I guess. And I burned my bike shorts that I got from Sister Phadnis. They were too small anyways :) But we bonded a TON! So good :) The elders had fun with the lighter fluid and some gasoline that they found. The explosions weren't too bad ;)

I Don't Know About You But I'm Turning 22! March 16, 2015

That's right. I'm old. It's weird because I swear it was just Christmas. Time is going by WAY too fast! I'm not ready!!!! Wahh!

But guess what? I'm emailing this thing FIRST so I know I've got time to tell you all the tellings of my wonderful Junk town. Dude this place is so ghetto :) I love it!!!! The people here are either Military, or x-military. Or they can't afford to get out of this town. It's the best :)

Ok I know I haven't talked about like anyone here, but to start off my favorite so far is a recent convert name Jenaya :) She's 18. Baby face blondie. She got married right out of high school and is super hilarious. But really smart too. She loves to go deep doctrine on us. I gave her my Jesus the Christ hoping I could help her to understand and love Christ the way that I have. We have a hard time focusing in lessons though because she talks a TON! And I don't help either :) haha! We're having a jelly bean party tomorrow for my birthday. We're going to watch the bible videos so that will be fun :)

We've had a really good week! We cover the ward and the branch so we had a TON of members come out with us! So great! 

We met this orthodox Christian lady who was super nice and super not buying the great apostasy. We  don't really know what to do with her. 

But the work is great! God is great! :)

Also the mission's getting Ipads the week after I go home. SO LAME! But maybe I'll just magically get my own somehow. :) Also that's why I'm going home a week late. Prez needs to go to a meeting with Elder Bednar and Elder Parry to talk about Ipads and Facebook. Apparently they made the missionaries coming out wait too :) so it's their fault :) haha!

5 Minutes!!! March 9, 2015

WOW!!!! I have 5 Minutes. And it stinks cuz it's been a FANTASTIC WEEK!!!! 

We had a TON of members come out with us! Junction's the best! and Sister palmer and I are such good friends! We just pillow talk all the day! 

Man I just never have enough time! I promise I'm doing fantastic and Junction is treating me so well!!! I don't even have a picture for you this time! 

But I'm feeling good and lost in the work! :) LIFE IS GREAT I LOVE KANSAS!!!

Go the Extra Mile - March 2, 2015

So I got this surprising email from president:

Your release date is now May 21st. The Missionary Department had to push it back a week because of scheduling issues in the mission. Please accept this change with humility, faith and patience and don't let your parents get upset about it :) - it's just a week longer for them. And you get an extra week to serve in the best mission in the world. Have a great week. Love you tons!!!

So that's that I guess. I'm way excited to have more time, but I'm also really tired. But what's an extra week right? I just have to ENDURE TO THE END!!! That's like my favorite thing ever! Wow!

But we had a SUPER week this week!

also I'm in a hurry because I'm almost out of time!

Ok went on exchanges to salina and ran down this black young man. His buddy came up to us too and we committed them to a church tour the next day! We totally didn't think they would come but they did! SO DON"T JUDGE!

Also we lost our house keys and turns out they were in Junction. It was 9:45pm so we had to break into the house. SO FUNNY!!!

Ok and also I love sister Palmer! WE have fun :) wow I'm really out of time! here's a pic!!!!
