It's a GIRL!!!

Well I'm sure you already knew that, but it's true! I have my baby and she's sitting right next to me!! WOOO! Ok so this week was pretty cra cra. Sister Phadnis and I spent most of the time saying goodbye to investigators and packing. Well she did. I just helped :) But it was really hard to say goodbye to her. I really have learned so much from her and love her so much. It was hard sometimes but it just made us appreciate each other even more I think :) So there was a big snow storm tuesday and when I say big snow storm I mean about 3 or 4 inches of snow. eh... And it was powdery so it just brushed off of our car and whatever, no big deal. But Kansas doesn't plow their roads. I don't know why. I think they only have one snow plow in the whole city, but seriously. They freak out when it comes to mildly bad weather. haha! The kids were out of school for 3 days. In Idaho we wouldn't have even been out for one! It's cool! haha! anywho. So I could not sleep tuesday night at all because I knew my baby was in wichita just waiting for her mama to find her. haha! But Wednesday was a ..great day :) We met at the chuch building and there were a TON of missionaries there because we had a lot getting transfered. We were waiting in the chapel for the new missionaries and that's when I saw her. My daughter. It was a little awkward because I was creepily staring at her and she saw my name tag and new I was her mama and we just awkwardly didn't make eye contact until I walked by her to lead the music and I waved and it was all actually really funny :) But they had us stand at the pulpit and say our missionaries name and then we'd greet them at the bottom of the stairs and hug them and cry or whatever we wanted to do :) Then after a lot of great words from President Bell and a great life changing video about the Atonement we were off!!! I took the car keys to our fancy 2014 ford something something and we drove off into the sunset! Ok just kind of. I hate driving. And I have to drive all the dumb time! Our first few moments I made a fool of myself. We were on our way to visit Janeth and Joseph and I was making a left turn. Well there was a ton of snow on the ground. and not only could I not see the lines, I didn't see the median seperating the left and right lane. So I turned on to the wrong side of the road and couldn't move over because of the median. So we had to back up back into the intersection and make our way back to the right side of the street. Whatever. hahaha! Luckily everyone was driving really slow and saw what an idiot I was being. I was frantically yelling and waving my arms and was like what do I do?? Poor Sister Gunderson. Speaking of Sister Gunderson! She is so awesome!!!! She's from Mesa Arizona (She is not used to the cold yet) She graduated in 2012, and she's a total choir geek. So we get along swimmingly. We sing ALL THE TIME. It's pretty great. She's actually a tenor. She sings so so so low it's crazy! So mom if you find any cool duets Sister Gunderson and I are bound to sing here anytime soon :) I LOVE HER!!! So other Highlights of the week: Amanda called us Thursday telling us that she would be moving to Kingman on Saturday. Kingman is about an hour away from wichita and so she won't be with us anymore. Because it's Monday and she moved on Saturday. It was all super last minute. But she is still set on being baptized on Februray 22nd. She wants to come back and do it in our building so we can be there but we'll see what happens. She will be a huge blessing to the elders in kingman for sure! Also we taught a basically naked Grizz Favaron on Saturday. Not Griz Racobs who I talk about all the time, but crazy biker Grizz who I've mentioned a few times. Yeah we stopped by to invite the family to church and they let us in and then there's Grizz lounging in his boxers in his recliner. And let me just say he his not a small fellow. But I didn't know what to do! I didn't want to just be like ok just kidding we have to go so see you at church! Luckily the way the living room was set up he had his wife between us so we could only really see his face while we were talking. It was pretty hiliarious. Next time I think I'll be lovingly bold and tell him to put some dang clothes on. ;) We found out that we are sharing a car with some sisters in another ward. So we will be on bikes this week. It snowed again last night so hopefully it melts soon :) My boots aren't really water proof so I'll be wearing extra socks. We will probably be walking a lot because it's pretty impossible to bike through snow and no one shovle's their side walks. Also we got cut on our miles and we've already used half of them. So even when we do have the car, we won't be able to use it much. Well it has been a very fun week. I still don't know why Heavenly Father thought it was a good idea to put me in charge. I still have so much to learn and I'm really going to try my best to help Sister Gunderson. She is already such a great missionary and surpasses me in a lot of aspects but I can serve her and love her more than any other missionary right now. So that's what I'll do :) Love you all, and I hope everything is well :) Love Sister Herrin
